What to Check Before You Book
- The exact room name. Desert Palms' Deluxe rooms with two queens take four, so book a one-bedroom suite. Some of Anaheim Portofino Inn's suites sleep four too, so book the Family Suite or Galaxy Suite by name, and at Dolphin's Cove the one-bedroom units take four.
- Bathrooms. At Desert Palms, the 2 Bedroom and 2 Bathroom Suite has two bathrooms, but the Deluxe two-bedroom with bunk beds has one.
- Maintenance. Club Wyndham Dolphin's Cove says its buildings will be tented at times for wood treatment from September 2026 into January 2027, with amenities staying open.
- Babies and cribs. Occupancy rules differ by hotel, and the room pages don't say whether a crib counts. Ask the hotel if your fifth guest is a baby. Our guide to what "sleeps 5" means covers the common catches.
Getting to Disneyland Hotels
- From John Wayne Airport (SNA), Orange County: about 20 to 35 minutes by car.
- From Los Angeles International (LAX): about 45 to 90 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
- To the parks: from the Harbor Boulevard hotels across from the resort you can walk; Anaheim Desert Inn puts it at about two minutes to the East Disney Esplanade. Majestic Garden runs its own free Dream Machine Shuttle. ART buses no longer run.
- On to San Diego: LEGOLAND California in Carlsbad is about 1.5 to 2 hours' drive south, and Mission Bay about 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. See our San Diego guide for hotels there.
